how bad is the heat problem in january really
#anz 2026-02-23
- pharmac_pen — i do not order between december and february. that is my own rule after a january parcel arrived warm and soft 20:03
- VialBot — New independent result logged — BCH, lot KP-0925, purity 98.1% (Medutest). 20:16
- two_lifts_a_week — right so a member in perth and a member in melbourne reported completely different transit times on the same supplier in the same month australian figures members… 20:23
- cold_pack_carla — insulated pouch, gel packs frozen solid, fastest leg you can buy. that is the whole summer protocol as this room has it 20:35
- brisbane_bac — tga and medsafe are separate regulators making separate decisions, and people conflate them constantly 21:05
australian figures members reported ran from about 130 to 400 a month depending on route and dose, as of about a year ago
for the archive i keep a spare month in the fridge specifically because summer ordering down here is a gamble
anyone in nz paying out of pocket and willing to say what it comes to
the pharmacist i asked was straightforward about supply and had no idea about anything else, which is fair enough
[edited]i do not order between december and february. that is my own rule after a january parcel arrived warm and soft
the wait to see somebody was quoted to me as a few weeks privately and much longer publicly, when i asked in 2024
an australian summer transit is the worst cold chain problem discussed in this channel and it is not close
the depot is the problem
summer is the risk

dont order in january

three gel packs
the last leg to a rural address is where it bakes. the depot and the van are hotter than the plane ever was
does the pbs cover it for diabetes but not for weight
lyophilised powder survived an australian summer for me. reconstituted would not have and i would not try it
i pay for the fastest service in summer purely to shorten the hot part, not to get it any sooner
member reported figure
the members who were on a compounded version mostly moved to the branded product and paid more, from what i saw
tga and medsafe are separate regulators making separate decisions, and people conflate them constantly
did anyone stockpile before the compounding change came in
three gel packs and a foil liner got mine through a january delivery. the packs arrived liquid and the powder was fine
i was wrong about the compounding change taking effect immediately, it was phased, and i had told three people otherwise, someone check my working
nz has it worse
are the rules in nz the same or completely separate
the compounding rule change happened and it did stop the pharmacies that were making it, based on what members reported here at the time
the honest summary for australia is that the rules changed under people mid treatment and the room is still sore about it
follow up is there any reimbursement in nz at all or is it fully private
the seasonal thing works both ways. a july parcel into australia is an easy parcel
supply steadied here
any pricing in this channel is a snapshot from whenever it was typed. australian prices moved a lot in two years
