supply steadied here

- pbs_pip — a member in perth and a member in melbourne reported completely different transit times on the same supplier in the same month, not advice obviously 14:04
- mg_per_ml — right so the wait to see somebody was quoted to me as a few weeks privately and much longer publicly, when i asked in 2024, take that with a pinch of salt 14:23
- pharmac_pen — the seasonal thing works both ways. a july parcel into australia is an easy parcel, for what its worth 15:26
- brisbane_bac — anyone had a parcel sit in a hot depot for 9 days 16:53
- swirl_not_shake — quick one the pharmacist i asked was straightforward about supply and had no idea about anything else, which is fair enough 17:49
a member in perth and a member in melbourne reported completely different transit times on the same supplier in the same month, not advice obviously
i pay for the fastest service in summer purely to shorten the hot part, not to get it any sooner, n of 1 obviously
an nz member put their monthly cost at roughly 500 new zealand dollars in 2024. one person at one dose
slightly off topic but the honest summary for australia is that the rules changed under people mid treatment and the room is still sore about it
australian pricing, whats a realistic monthly figure
did anyone stockpile before the compounding change came in
right so the wait to see somebody was quoted to me as a few weeks privately and much longer publicly, when i asked in 2024, take that with a pinch of salt
i tested a vial after a summer transit out of pure paranoia and it came back 99. one vial, one result
clinic versus pharmacy came out roughly even for me once the consult fees were counted in
tga and the shortage notices, is that still going where people are
did the compounders give any notice before they stopped
check thats still true
follow up people did stockpile before the compounding change and some of them are still working through it
slightly off topic but is nz supply tied to australian supply in practice
does the pbs cover it for diabetes but not for weight
how long is transit into australia running at the moment
australian figures members reported ran from about 130 to 400 a month depending on route and dose, as of about a year ago
any pricing in this channel is a snapshot from whenever it was typed. australian prices moved a lot in two years
genuine question insulated pouch, gel packs frozen solid, fastest leg you can buy. that is the whole summer protocol as this room has it
the seasonal thing works both ways. a july parcel into australia is an easy parcel, for what its worth
july is easy
nobody here can tell you what is allowed in australia and the mods will stop that conversation
i was wrong about the compounding change taking effect immediately, it was phased, and i had told three people otherwise
powder survived
i keep a spare month in the fridge specifically because summer ordering down here is a gamble
quick one temperature controlled shipping into australia exists and the quote i got was more than the peptide, ymmv
summer is the risk
update from 22 months ago: supply where i am steadied and the price never came back down
right so the last leg to a rural address is where it bakes. the depot and the van are hotter than the plane ever was
a parcel of mine sat in a queensland depot for 7 days in summer, and it tested fine afterwards, which surprised me
lyophilised powder survived an australian summer for me. reconstituted would not have and i would not try it
nz supply has tracked australian supply closely in everything members have reported. the two markets are not independent
anyone had a parcel sit in a hot depot for 9 days
nz members have consistently reported worse availability and higher prices than australia. that is anecdote, but it is repeated anecdote, i think
three gel packs
transit was 7 days for me and the tracking went dark for a week in the middle, which is normal for that route
quick one the pharmacist i asked was straightforward about supply and had no idea about anything else, which is fair enough
medsafe not tga
that was a year ago
pharmac had not funded it for weight when i last read about it and the nz members in here were all paying privately, i have it written down somewhere
pbs is diabetes only afaik
update on the earlier thing shipping into an australian summer, what do people actually do about it
whats the wait like to see somebody about this in australia
coming back after 14 months, is supply any better in australia now
tga and medsafe are separate regulators making separate decisions, and people conflate them constantly
nz has it worse
are the rules in nz the same or completely separate
wouldnt risk reconstituted
as of a year or so ago there was no nz reimbursement for weight indications at all, so check rather than taking that as current, from memory
unrelated but i do not order between december and february. that is my own rule after a january parcel arrived warm and soft
several members lost their compounded supply with roughly two months notice. that is the reported experience, not a rule i can quote at you, ill dig out the number
pharmac hasnt funded it
as far as i understood it a year ago, the pbs listing covered the diabetes indication and not weight management, and that split catches people out
tga shortage notices were live for long stretches while i was following it. whether they are now i genuinely do not know
