Highlights from this day
  • power_through_no — i had a potassium that came back high and the repeat was normal. the tube had been knocked about 16:21
  • apob_over_ldl — if a result frightens you, that is a conversation with a clinician. we will help you read it, we will not tell you it is fine 16:23
  • swab_dry_first — ok so baseline, three months, then twice a year is what i settled on 16:29
  • apob_over_ldl — quick one my numbers: a1c and triglycerides both moved a lot, ldl barely moved at all 17:46

an isolated lipase a bit over range with no symptoms is usually nothing. lipase with severe pain is not

AO

quick one my numbers: a1c and triglycerides both moved a lot, ldl barely moved at all

is a fasting insulin worth paying for privately if my gp will not do it

update from 24 months ago: a1c down, apob unchanged, and i am genuinely annoyed about the apob

do you fast for the full 12 hours or is 8 enough

VV

fast properly or do not bother. an eight hour fast and a twelve hour fast are different tests
