Highlights from this day
  • vialkeeper — thyroid moving slightly is common enough that i would repeat it before doing anything 20:09
  • deamidation — while im here ferritin and b12 fall quietly when you are barely eating. check them twice a year, n of 1 obviously 20:33
  • birch_bloods — baseline, three months, then twice a year is what i settled on 20:59
  • private_script_pri — an isolated lipase a bit over range with no symptoms is usually nothing. lipase with severe pain is not 21:47

retest it

post the numbers

a1c is a ninety day average. retesting at week six tells you almost nothing

VI

slightly off topic but anyone had a result that turned out to be a lab error

VI

get fasting insulin at baseline. you cannot go back and get it once you have started

what should i get at baseline before i start

DE

homa-ir is fasting glucose times fasting insulin over a constant. the constant differs by unit system

PS

an isolated lipase a bit over range with no symptoms is usually nothing. lipase with severe pain is not

BB

if you only get one thing, get a fasting insulin. it is the one that becomes impossible later
