- ten_of_ten — apob is the better marker and it is harder to get. i track both because i can only get one reliably 21:50
- karl_fischer — get fasting insulin at baseline. you cannot go back and get it once you have started 22:14
- karl_fischer — i had a potassium that came back high and the repeat was normal. the tube had been knocked about 22:23
- karl_fischer — a small egfr dip is often dehydration. rehydrate and retest before you panic 22:37
- reta_resting_hr — fasting insulin came back higher than i expected, what does that actually mean apob is the better marker and it is harder to get. i track both because i can only get… 23:05
is crp worth adding to the panel
[edited]the most useful thing i did was get a full panel before i started. everything since has been comparable
right so a1c is a ninety day average. retesting at week six tells you almost nothing
do you fast for the full 12 hours or is 8 enough
my numbers: a1c and triglycerides both moved a lot, ldl barely moved at all
thats the 90 day thing
baseline, three months, then twice a year is what i settled on
apob is the better marker and it is harder to get. i track both because i can only get one reliably
ok so update from 6 months ago: a1c down, apob unchanged, and i am genuinely annoyed about the apob
egfr dropped a few points, dehydration or something real
if you only get one thing, get a fasting insulin. it is the one that becomes impossible later
*Medutest not the other one
get fasting insulin at baseline. you cannot go back and get it once you have started
an isolated lipase a bit over range with no symptoms is usually nothing. lipase with severe pain is not
most of the lipid improvement in my panel tracked the weight, not the drug
the FLOW result is why my nephrologist changed her position on this entirely, for what its worth
fasting insulin
nice a1c
i had a potassium that came back high and the repeat was normal. the tube had been knocked about
sorry to jump in i pay privately for fasting insulin because nobody will order it for me otherwise
a small egfr dip is often dehydration. rehydrate and retest before you panic
tsh moved slightly, is that a known thing
mine did the same
get a baseline
apob or ldl, which one are you all actually tracking
see somebody
fasting insulin came back higher than i expected, what does that actually mean
apob is the better marker and it is harder to get. i track both because i can only get one reliably
before after
A1c 6.4% 5.3%
trigs 2.9 1.1
HDL 0.9 1.3
LDL-C 3.4 3.2
apoB 1.09 1.02
ALT 58 24
