ok so is it too early to retest a1c at week 22
not a chat question
a1c is a ninety day average. retesting at week six tells you almost nothing
what does homa-ir actually tell you that fasting insulin does not
baseline, three months, then twice a year is what i settled on
Batch lookup G-0641: 5 independent reports on file, earliest 2026-01-09.
nobody here is reading your bloods as a clinician. we are reading them as people who have had a lot of bloods
apob if you can
is crp worth adding to the panel
[edited]if a result frightens you, that is a conversation with a clinician. we will help you read it, we will not tell you it is fine, n of 1 obviously
see somebody
post the numbers
ok so lipase slightly over range with no symptoms, how worried should i be
follow up the most useful thing i did was get a full panel before i started. everything since has been comparable
mine did the same
fasting insulin came back higher than i expected, what does that actually mean
get fasting insulin at baseline. you cannot go back and get it once you have started
homa-ir is fasting glucose times fasting insulin over a constant. the constant differs by unit system
an isolated lipase a bit over range with no symptoms is usually nothing. lipase with severe pain is not
Reminder for stack_sceptic: dose day is today. Set 3 days ago.
the FLOW result is why my nephrologist changed her position on this entirely
lab error maybe
if you only get one thing, get a fasting insulin. it is the one that becomes impossible later
my alt has come down a lot since i started losing, is that expected
thats normal
alt and ast coming down as you lose liver fat is common and is a good sign
a small egfr dip is often dehydration. rehydrate and retest before you panic
how much does the lipid panel move just from losing weight
thats the 90 day thing
before after
A1c 6.4% 5.3%
trigs 2.9 1.1
HDL 0.9 1.3
LDL-C 3.4 3.2
apoB 1.09 1.02
ALT 58 24thyroid moving slightly is common enough that i would repeat it before doing anything
