Highlights from this day
  • pioneer_pia — dropped the GLP-1 and stayed on this alone for 18 months, appetite held but weight barely moved the slower titration in here is community habit as much as anything,… 15:45
  • rotterdam_recon — how many weeks before you noticed anything on monotherapy 17:03
  • first_and_last_four — update on the earlier thing amylin is about slowed gastric emptying and satiety signalling, thats the short version and im no pharmacologist 17:52
  • first_and_last_four — CagriSema is cagrilintide with semaglutide and REDEFINE is the trial programme around it 17:53
  • split_shipment — back after 2 months, is monotherapy still a minority thing here 20:49

noticed something around week 3 on monotherapy, well after i had given up expecting to

dropped the GLP-1 and stayed on this alone for 18 months, appetite held but weight barely moved
the slower titration in here is community habit as much as anything, the trials had their own schedule

SS

monotherapy question, did appetite move for you without a GLP-1 alongside

monotherapy did work for me, just slower and smaller than i expected

did anyone find monotherapy underwhelming

how slow are people titrating this compared to cagrilintide

coming back to this the fullness thing is the part people describe differently, food stops being interesting rather than repellent

FA

the nausea felt different rather than less, more fullness and less of the queasy wave
the slower titration in here is community habit as much as anything, the trials had their own schedule

SS

weekly for me, same day every week, no reason beyond habit, i have it written down somewhere

cagrisema thats it

is the weekly schedule the same here

MP

is 2.4 the number for this too or am i confusing compounds

MS

the slower titration in here is community habit as much as anything, the trials had their own schedule

MP

held at 0.25 for 3 months on monotherapy before i touched it again

you cannot tell which of the two is doing what in a combination and i stopped pretending i could

monotherapy was underwhelming for me and i say that as someone who wanted it to work

[edited]

lost 54lb over 8 months on the combination and i genuinely cannot apportion it, we shall see

update on the earlier thing amylin is about slowed gastric emptying and satiety signalling, thats the short version and im no pharmacologist

CO

changed my mind on this, i started thinking amylin was the interesting bit and now i think its the pairing

FM

combination GI was worse than either alone for me, which is not what i had read anywhere

[edited]
SS

went slower because the first step gave me two rough days and i took that as information

FM

2 in 0.5ml gives 2mg/ml which is what i use, purely because the units come out round

titrating dead slow

whats the recon people use, 15 in 2ml

*Janoshik not the other one
