Digest for the week of 2025-05-16 has been published.

LL

has anyone compared a canadian pharmacy price to an american one properly

LL

a frozen and thawed reconstituted vial is the one thing i would not use, and i cannot point you at a study for that

LL

diabetes covered, weight not

reported by members, own currency, not comparable directly
  private clinic, UK      145 - 220
  statutory, DE            10 co-pay
  private script, DE      180 - 240
  pharmacy, PL             95 - 140
  pharmacy, SE            210 - 260
VO

my monthly cost with partial insurance came to about 120 canadian dollars, which is not a number anybody else can use
cross border out of canada rarely makes sense because canada is usually the cheaper side of that particular border

i was wrong in here about a province covering it, i had read about a pilot programme and assumed it was policy

SH

private plans vary by employer more than by province. two members with the same job title got different answers

a lyophilised vial that froze in transit is almost certainly fine. a reconstituted one that froze is a different matter, i have it written down somewhere

wouldnt use a thawed solution

any figure in this channel is dated. canadian pricing and coverage both moved while i was reading about them

slightly off topic but cross border out of canada rarely makes sense because canada is usually the cheaper side of that particular border
