- auckland_aliquot — nobody can authenticate a certificate from a scan. you authenticate the material by testing it yourself 16:53
- ema_vs_national — the certificate from KP is the one i use to teach this because it actually has a populated impurity table 17:03
- stack_sceptic — i asked KP for the method and they sent it. that alone put them ahead of most 17:46
- stack_sceptic — how do you verify a certificate is actually from the lab it says 19:13
weigh the vial
coming back after 10 months, has the pinned reading guide changed
is area percent the same thing as how many mg are in the vial
thats a real table
nobody can authenticate a certificate from a scan. you authenticate the material by testing it yourself
retention time shifts between runs are normal. relative retention time is the number to compare
ask for water content
the certificate from KP is the one i use to teach this because it actually has a populated impurity table
no lot number, no certificate. a document you cannot tie to the vial in your hand is decoration
good certificate actually
not detected means nothing
no lot number on this certificate, does that make it worthless
*that should say weekly
coming back to this my 10mg vial weighed more than 10mg of powder, is the certificate lying
residual solvents matter more than people think for anything that went through a lot of purification steps
i asked KP for the method and they sent it. that alone put them ahead of most

the honest summary is that a certificate tells you what the supplier says about a lot they chose to test
quick one a supplier certificate on its own is a starting point, not evidence. that is the whole reason the verification channel exists
an identical chromatogram on two different lots is the single biggest tell there is, thats just me
follow up i keep every certificate in a dated folder and compare them. two suppliers had not changed their template since 2019
Testing queue: 5 submissions open, 93 awaiting dispatch.
the related substances table is the interesting part. a row of "not detected" means they did not look hard
how do you verify a certificate is actually from the lab it says
[edited]net not gross
purity is what fraction of the contents is the target. assay is how many mg are actually there. different questions
thats a tell
whats the related substances table actually telling me
the retention time on this one is different from the last lot, problem
