Highlights from this day
  • swab_dry_first — sorry to jump in i was wrong about the cross border prescription rules and a pharmacist corrected me in person, which was humbling 19:26
  • peak_split — any figure in this channel should be read as the month somebody typed it, not as the price today 19:36
  • amsterdam_aliquot — is carrying it in a suitcase inside the eu a problem 20:13
  • snac_and_water — nordic pricing genuinely was higher in every comparison i have seen here, and the incomes are higher too, which people forget 21:37

ok so a swedish member put their monthly cost at roughly double what a polish member was paying, as of last year

sorry to jump in i was wrong about the cross border prescription rules and a pharmacist corrected me in person, which was humbling

🧊4😂11

varies by pharmacy

SD

you can carry a personal quantity between eu countries in practice. the rules on quantity and prescription vary and i would not rely on my reading of them

PS

any figure in this channel should be read as the month somebody typed it, not as the price today

AA

the honest position is that eu reimbursement is a moving target and nothing said in here stays true for a year

AA

transit inside the eu was 12 days for me door to door, which is faster than anything i have had from outside it, ask me again in a month

😂1

cross border in theory

is carrying it in a suitcase inside the eu a problem

💀1👀8🧊8

a prescription from one member state is meant to be recognised in another under the cross border rules. whether the pharmacist knows that is another matter

member reported

i keep a note of what i paid each month because the number moves and my memory of it does not

AA

no local insurance means the pharmacy price, full stop, in every country a member has reported from
a german member reported paying around 300 euros a month privately in 2024. one person, one dose, one pharmacy

[edited]

a member in spain said their pharmacy price was lower than germany when they compared in 2024, and i cannot verify that

PS

is vat charged on a parcel coming into the eu and how much are we talking

PS

a german member reported paying around 300 euros a month privately in 2024. one person, one dose, one pharmacy

MO

follow up is the price the same across pharmacies in a country or does it vary a lot

PS

unrelated but what does privat versus kassenrezept mean in money terms

SA

nordic pricing genuinely was higher in every comparison i have seen here, and the incomes are higher too, which people forget

MO

unrelated but the language barrier with support is real. i write in short plain english and it works better than good english does

SA

nobody here can tell you what is legal in your country and the mods stop that conversation early

MO

german pharmacies will order in what they do not stock. mine took three working days when i asked in 2024

how far ahead do people order given transit inside the eu
