  • two_three_lifts — a small air bubble subcutaneously is not dangerous. it costs you dose accuracy, thats the reason to clear it update from 7 months ago: switched to a fixed rotation… 14:46

absorption differences between subcutaneous sites are small for a weekly compound

let it dry

coming back to this abdomen two inches out from the navel, avoiding anything that has been injected in the last month

31G 8mm

📉2

i changed nothing except letting the swab dry and the stinging stopped completely

slightly off topic but the difference between 29G and 31G is real but small. the difference between wet and dry alcohol is not small

MP

let the alcohol dry. that is ninety percent of "my injections sting", i have it written down somewhere

NP

nobody here should be telling you where to inject. we can tell you what we do

how slowly should you actually push

31G 8mm for everything. i tried the 12.7mm once and never went back

NP

unrelated but do not aspirate for a subcutaneous injection, there is nothing to aspirate for

30G in 8mm or 12.7mm for abdomen

bleeding a little means you nicked a small vessel. it is not a technique failure

sharps bin

update from 5 months ago: switched to a fixed rotation and the site reactions stopped

i inject the back of my own arm and it is awkward but doable with a mirror

try the thigh

is bruising more about the needle or the aftercare

LM

quick one 90 degrees works fine if you have the tissue for it. 45 if you do not

LU

cold from the fridge genuinely stings more. i let it sit out for ten minutes

EE

i keep the sharps bin next to the fridge so the whole thing happens in one place

warming the vial in your hand for a minute is the cheapest comfort improvement there is

LU

push slowly. fast is what causes the ache afterwards
