bleeding a little means you nicked a small vessel. it is not a technique failure, ill dig out the number
follow up i have eight sites and an eight week rotation. it is written on the fridge
do not aspirate for a subcutaneous injection, there is nothing to aspirate for
mark it down
small bubble is fine
do not reuse pins. it is not about sterility so much as the tip being blunt after one pass, thats one data point
thats a reaction
i bled a bit, is that a needle depth thing
90 degrees or 45
coming back after 3 months, has the pinned technique guide changed
thats normal
i changed nothing except letting the swab dry and the stinging stopped completely
31G 8mm
right so i inject the back of my own arm and it is awkward but doable with a mirror
warm it first
do you count to five before withdrawing
the needle went in fine but it stung going in, alcohol or the compound
let the alcohol dry. that is ninety percent of "my injections sting"
let it dry
update from 23 months ago: switched to a fixed rotation and the site reactions stopped
i keep the sharps bin next to the fridge so the whole thing happens in one place
warming the vial in your hand for a minute is the cheapest comfort improvement there is
how do you avoid hitting the same spot twice when the marks fade
ok so a proper sharps bin costs almost nothing and pharmacies will take it back
never recap a used pin. that is how people stick themselves
abdomen two inches out from the navel, avoiding anything that has been injected in the last month
i keep getting a small welt at the site, technique or reaction
31G 8mm for everything. i tried the 12.7mm once and never went back
is a small air bubble in the barrel a problem subcutaneously
