Highlights from this day
  • travel_cooler — drawing up with the same pin you inject with is fine, it just dulls the tip slightly 22:40
  • VialBot — Reminder set. I will post here in 6 days. 22:51
  • mag_citrate — i changed nothing except letting the swab dry and the stinging stopped completely 23:00
  • deadspace — do you count to five before withdrawing 23:04
  • deadspace — let the alcohol dry. that is ninety percent of "my injections sting" 23:06

while im here 90 degrees works fine if you have the tissue for it. 45 if you do not

i keep the sharps bin next to the fridge so the whole thing happens in one place, i think

DE

do not aspirate for a subcutaneous injection, there is nothing to aspirate for

is bruising more about the needle or the aftercare

a small air bubble subcutaneously is not dangerous. it costs you dose accuracy, thats the reason to clear it

i mark the rotation in a notes app because the marks fade and i lost track twice

does injecting a cold vial hurt more or am i imagining it

sharps bin

[edited]

not a problem

if you are getting a lot of bruising, look at how fast you are pushing before you blame the needle

mark it down

🔥7

absorption differences between subcutaneous sites are small for a weekly compound

anyone inject in the back of the arm on their own successfully

update from 14 months ago: switched to a fixed rotation and the site reactions stopped

31G 8mm

LU

i inject the back of my own arm and it is awkward but doable with a mirror

DE

a proper sharps bin costs almost nothing and pharmacies will take it back
