stupid question i have eight sites and an eight week rotation. it is written on the fridge, belly not thigh

one pin, one use. reusing blunts it and the second one always hurts more, not instruction, just habit

CH

on the rotation debate a proper sharps bin costs almost nothing and pharmacies will take it back, your depth may differ

update from 4 months ago: switched to a fixed rotation and the site reactions stopped, let it dry first though

BB

rotate by a hand width and keep a rough map. the map is more useful than the rule, one pin one use though

ok this fixed it for me room temperature solution stings less than fridge cold, reliably, dry swab first

cold from the fridge genuinely stings more. i let it sit out for ten minutes, that is a capillary, not you

BB

the bead afterwards is a small backflow and it does not mean you lost the dose, thats with a 31G

not just me then, one pin one use

the needle does not need to be in for long. it is a very small volume, and rotate

CH

i am not a nurse and none of this is instruction. it is just what my hands do now, dry swab first

the first few were shaky and now it takes about twenty seconds. that curve is normal, that stopped my lumps

CH

reusing within one session is common and it is still a duller pin the second time

CH

coming back to the angle argument bruising for me is purely luck about what is under the skin at that spot

is a small air bubble in the barrel a problem subcutaneously
