AO

there is no official maintenance dose. it is a thing we do because the alternative on the table was stopping, someone check my working

OO

i came off for four months, put 8 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers, ill dig out the number

AO

if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room

OO

how much protein were people eating at maintenance compared to while losing

🤝9
AO

im holding at 10 for maintenance and wondering whether i should be lower

OO

i dropped from 7.5 to 5 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months

🤝15

thats fluctuation

i set a trigger weight instead of a target. if i cross it i go up a rung. that is my entire plan

🎉1👍1👀12

nobody here can tell you whether to stop. we can tell you what happened to us when we did

😂1❤️2
AO

SELECT is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion

went back up, no regrets

DE

promised someone in january i would post my full maintenance log at 18 months. its 18 months

context: peak loss was -31kg, goal hit feb of the year before, and i have been fiddling ever since

quarterly averages, because monthly is too noisy to read

QuarterDoseAvg weightDrift vs goalNotes
Q12.4 mg weekly78.1 kg-0.4 kgstill finishing loss
Q21.7 mg weekly78.6 kg+0.1 kgfirst step down
Q31.7 mg weekly79.4 kg+0.9 kghunger back, mild
Q41.0 mg weekly81.8 kg+3.3 kgtoo far, admitted late
Q51.7 mg weekly80.2 kg+1.7 kgback up, slow recovery
Q61.7 mg weekly79.1 kg+0.6 kgsettled here
DE

yes. i went too low, told myself it was fine for about ten weeks, and it wasnt

SS

how did you know it wasnt fine, the number or the head

DE

the head first by weeks. food noise came back before the scale did

thats the bit i would tell anyone stepping down. the appetite signal leads the weight signal by about a month

ZZ

thats consistent with basically every step-down story ive read in here

DE

i made it a number. crude 0-3 scale in the same sheet

noise score, logged nightly
0 = didnt think about food outside meals
1 = thought about it, easy to drop
2 = thought about it repeatedly, effort to drop
3 = the old days

Q2 mean 0.6
Q3 mean 1.1
Q4 mean 2.2 <- and the weight only moved in month 3 of Q4
Q5 mean 1.3
Q6 mean 0.8

SS

the 0-3 thing is genuinely clever, im stealing it

DE

steal it. its not clever, its just writing something down every day

AA

what does the lifting side look like, or is that in here too

DE

two sessions a week the entire 18 months, never three, never once a week. boring on purpose

i lost strength during the loss phase and got most of it back during maintenance, which surprised me

DE

twice. start of maintenance and month 15. lean mass basically flat between the two which i will take

ZZ

two scans 15 months apart on presumably the same machine is about as good as any of us manage

VB

reminder for @deadspace (set 341 days ago): post the 18-month maintenance log. marking complete.

DE

the bot has waited nearly a year for this and i can feel the judgement

DE

for me it meant i stopped waiting for the scale to give me permission. what you do with that is yours

RS

and log it either way. the people in this channel with 2 years of rows are the reason anyone else knows anything
