Highlights from this day
  • customs_owl — i stayed at treatment dose for four months past goal and then came down slowly. that order was right for me 19:14
  • cedar_counts — update from 1 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal, thats one data point 20:07
  • customs_owl — the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it 22:48
NP

i came off for four months, put 99 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers

CO

sorry to jump in i dropped from 2 to 15 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months

m2 110.2
m3 108.8
m4 108.1 <- the stall
m5 105.0
m6 101.6
m7 99.2
NP

appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it

NP

i went to every ten days at a low dose and it held for me. n of 1, and i keep saying that out loud

TT

is there any trial data at all on a lower frequency schedule

how much protein were people eating at maintenance compared to while losing

no official dose

BN

i was wrong about maintenance being the easy part and i had said so loudly for a year beforehand, take that with a pinch of salt

come down slower than that

AA

coming back after 23 months of maintenance, is anyone interested in the numbers

❤️1👍1🙏3

weekly not daily

holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it

CC

if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room

🎉2
CC

the maintenance conversation barely existed in here two years ago and now it is half the channel

update from 1 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal, thats one data point

👍18

resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous

🧊6

set a trigger weight

no data on that

i weigh weekly at maintenance rather than daily and my range is about two kilos either side

SH

food noise coming back at a lower dose settled again after about four weeks for me

SH

regain after stopping is the expected outcome, which is a horrible sentence and also what the data says
lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up

regain is expected

AO

coming down too fast was my mistake. top rung to the bottom rung inside a month and it was a bad month

CO

does anyone lift specifically to hold onto muscle now that theyre maintaining

❤️7🤝1🧊1

appetite came back over about three weeks after i reduced, not all at once, which is what i had braced for

❤️13
SH

protein went up during maintenance for me rather than down, which was completely counterintuitive

SH

SURPASS-2 is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion

NP

nobody here can tell you whether to stop. we can tell you what happened to us when we did

🤝1🎉6😂4
HH

i put 28 back on after stopping and then went back on it. it worked the same the second time round

🎉7⚠️7

update on the earlier thing anyone gone off entirely and stayed off successfully

HH

i think about it the way i think about my blood pressure tablet, and that framing helped me more than anything else

NP

did anyone drop the dose for maintenance or just stay where they were

CO

the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it
