is there any trial data at all on a lower frequency schedule
#maintenance 2026-03-05
- chaser_chris — i put 11 back on after stopping and then went back on it. it worked the same the second time round 23:04
- fasting_insulin — appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it 23:10
- apob_over_ldl — lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up, i have it written down somewhere 23:48
update from 23 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal
the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it, your mileage will differ
thats SELECT
does anyone lift specifically to hold onto muscle now that theyre maintaining
mine didnt hold
regain is expected
lift twice a week
whats a realistic amount of regain to accept rather than panic about
no official dose
everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here
same as a bp tablet
come down slower than that
coming back after 7 months of maintenance, is anyone interested in the numbers
did anyone regret dropping the dose too fast
holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it
[edited]still at maintenance
[edited]if i go back up after regain does it work the same the second time
if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room
i dropped from 0.25 to 0.5 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months
no data on that
protein up not down
did anyone drop the dose for maintenance or just stay where they were
im at goal and nobody has told me what happens next, whats the room doing
i stayed at treatment dose for four months past goal and then came down slowly. that order was right for me
is maintenance different between tirzepatide and the others or is that all anecdote
weekly not daily
how quickly did appetite come back going from 5 to 12
my range is 9 and i stopped calling anything inside that a regain
i think about it the way i think about my blood pressure tablet, and that framing helped me more than anything else, ymmv
i came off for four months, put 8 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers
i put 11 back on after stopping and then went back on it. it worked the same the second time round
appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it
m0 118.4
m1 113.9
m2 110.2
m3 108.8
m4 108.1 <- the stall
m5 105.0
m6 101.6
m7 99.2i tried to come down and could not hold it, went back to treatment dose, and stopped apologising for it
regain after stopping is the expected outcome, which is a horrible sentence and also what the data says, someone check my working
how do people handle a two week holiday at a maintenance dose
the food noise came back at the lower dose, does it settle again
i lift twice a week specifically because losing fast without it cost me more than i was willing to lose
lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up, i have it written down somewhere
stopped 2 months ago and put 19 back on, what did people do at that point
