the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it

RR

i dropped from 2 to 2.4 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months

⚠️2👀2
RR

if i go back up after regain does it work the same the second time

*Medutest not the other one

ST

maintenance is harder than losing because there is no number going down to keep you interested, from memory

A1

there is no official maintenance dose. it is a thing we do because the alternative on the table was stopping

A1

i weigh weekly at maintenance rather than daily and my range is about two kilos either side

AA

appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it

did anyone drop the dose for maintenance or just stay where they were

👍1🤝1

there is no trial on every ten days or every fortnight. people here do it and report on it and that is all we have, thats just me

m0 118.4
m1 113.9
m2 110.2
m3 108.8
m4 108.1 <- the stall
m5 105.0
m6 101.6
m7 99.2
AA

lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up

CF

i set a trigger weight instead of a target. if i cross it i go up a rung. that is my entire plan, ymmv

A1

the food noise came back at the lower dose, does it settle again

🎉1
BF

protein went up during maintenance for me rather than down, which was completely counterintuitive

BF

regain after stopping is the expected outcome, which is a horrible sentence and also what the data says

TF

how long did people stay at treatment dose after hitting goal

resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous

update on the earlier thing i stayed at treatment dose for four months past goal and then came down slowly. that order was right for me

CF

while im here i put 14 back on after stopping and then went back on it. it worked the same the second time round

im holding at 5 for maintenance and wondering whether i should be lower

CF

i think about it the way i think about my blood pressure tablet, and that framing helped me more than anything else

whats your rule for when a fluctuation becomes a regain

🤝12
AA

coming down too fast was my mistake. top rung to the bottom rung inside a month and it was a bad month

*PeptideMeter not the other one

everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here

how do people handle a two week holiday at a maintenance dose

CF

sorry to jump in dropping to a maintenance dose was uneventful for me and completely miserable for somebody i talk to weekly

quick one two or three kilos up and down is normal fluctuation. ten is a different conversation, thats one data point

VL

coming back after 17 months of maintenance, is anyone interested in the numbers
the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it

AA

does anyone budget for maintenance being cheaper or is it the same £120 a month

💀518👀4
AA

the muscle question is the one i wish i had taken seriously at month two instead of month twelve

CC

the maintenance conversation barely existed in here two years ago and now it is half the channel

BB

if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room

BB

how much regain did people get in the first 3 months after stopping

whats a realistic amount of regain to accept rather than panic about

PN

update from 21 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal

appetite came back over about three weeks after i reduced, not all at once, which is what i had braced for

🙏1
PN

my range is 19 and i stopped calling anything inside that a regain, someone check my working

VB

Purity check: no report on file for lot D-0718. Nothing logged either way.

PN

holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it

right so a 10mg vial at a 2mg maintenance dose is five weeks of doses, so my monthly cost roughly halved, anyway

PF

while im here i was wrong about maintenance being the easy part and i had said so loudly for a year beforehand

PN

i came off for four months, put 67 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers
