how much regain did people get in the first 9 months after stopping
#maintenance 2026-05-15
- chlorhex — i dropped from 0.5 to 0.25 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months 14:49
- chlorhex — SURMOUNT-OSA is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion if you find maintenance harder than… 14:55
- chlorhex — unrelated but there is no official maintenance dose. it is a thing we do because the alternative on the table was stopping 15:31
weekly not daily
lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up
anyone gone off entirely and stayed off successfully
i dropped from 0.5 to 0.25 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months
i went to every ten days at a low dose and it held for me. n of 1, and i keep saying that out loud
thats SURMOUNT-1
SURMOUNT-OSA is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion
if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room
the muscle question is the one i wish i had taken seriously at month two instead of month twelve, happy to be corrected
unrelated but there is no official maintenance dose. it is a thing we do because the alternative on the table was stopping
*Medutest not the other one
everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here
did anyone drop the dose for maintenance or just stay where they were
right so is there any trial data at all on a lower frequency schedule
[edited]genuine question if i go back up after regain does it work the same the second time
i was wrong about maintenance being the easy part and i had said so loudly for a year beforehand
the maintenance conversation barely existed in here two years ago and now it is half the channel
dropping to a maintenance dose was uneventful for me and completely miserable for somebody i talk to weekly
