regain is expected

- fibre_first — i set a trigger weight instead of a target. if i cross it i go up a rung. that is my entire plan, we shall see 16:09

how do you decide youre actually at maintenance rather than just stalled
im at goal and nobody has told me what happens next, whats the room doing
*Janoshik not the other one
i set a trigger weight instead of a target. if i cross it i go up a rung. that is my entire plan, we shall see
m0 118.4
m1 113.9
m2 110.2
m3 108.8
m4 108.1 <- the stall
m5 105.0
m6 101.6
m7 99.2food noise coming back at a lower dose settled again after about four weeks for me
whats your rule for when a fluctuation becomes a regain
i went to every ten days at a low dose and it held for me. n of 1, and i keep saying that out loud
slightly off topic but dropping to a maintenance dose was uneventful for me and completely miserable for somebody i talk to weekly
my range is 13 and i stopped calling anything inside that a regain
i stayed at treatment dose for four months past goal and then came down slowly. that order was right for me
i dropped from 7.5 to 12 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months, not advice obviously
still at maintenance
how do people handle a two week holiday at a maintenance dose
i tried to come down and could not hold it, went back to treatment dose, and stopped apologising for it
update from 15 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal
holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it
the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it
there is no trial on every ten days or every fortnight. people here do it and report on it and that is all we have
i weigh weekly at maintenance rather than daily and my range is about two kilos either side
STEP 4 is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion
thats fluctuation
regain after stopping is the expected outcome, which is a horrible sentence and also what the data says, not advice obviously
no official dose
is a maintenance dose a real clinical thing or something we invented between us
i was wrong about maintenance being the easy part and i had said so loudly for a year beforehand
everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here
im holding at 2.5 for maintenance and wondering whether i should be lower
for the archive i lift twice a week specifically because losing fast without it cost me more than i was willing to lose, not advice obviously
protein went up during maintenance for me rather than down, which was completely counterintuitive, for what its worth
if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room
no data on that
Testing queue: 9 submissions open, 94 awaiting dispatch.
appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it, someone check my working
i came off for four months, put 37 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers
if i go back up after regain does it work the same the second time
maintenance is harder than losing because there is no number going down to keep you interested, thats just me
a 10mg vial at a 2mg maintenance dose is five weeks of doses, so my monthly cost roughly halved
FLOW is the one where they stopped and it came back isnt it, has anyone read the actual numbers
the maintenance conversation barely existed in here two years ago and now it is half the channel
ok so i think about it the way i think about my blood pressure tablet, and that framing helped me more than anything else
is there any trial data at all on a lower frequency schedule
lift twice a week
while im here resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous
there is no official maintenance dose. it is a thing we do because the alternative on the table was stopping
mine held
nobody here can tell you whether to stop. we can tell you what happened to us when we did
coming down too fast was my mistake. top rung to the bottom rung inside a month and it was a bad month, n of 1 obviously
did anyone drop the dose for maintenance or just stay where they were
cost did not drop at maintenance for me because i went to a lower dose from the same vial and just used it slower
i put 21 back on after stopping and then went back on it. it worked the same the second time round
[edited]weekly not daily
same as a bp tablet
coming back after 9 months of maintenance, is anyone interested in the numbers
two or three kilos up and down is normal fluctuation. ten is a different conversation
whats a realistic amount of regain to accept rather than panic about
