- LC_MS_Lena — anxious every time i go up a dose, is that a known thing or just me 21:10
- LC_MS_Lena — the running out anxiety is real and worth naming. i keep a spare month in the fridge and i sleep better for it, take that with a pinch of salt 21:11
- hot_mailbox — i read every twinge as something serious for the first three months and it does settle down, your mileage will differ 23:17
feeling more emotional generally came up for me too and i took that to my gp rather than to a channel
the shame eased when i stopped thinking of it as a shortcut and started thinking of it as treatment
thank you for saying it
my relationship with eating was the thing i managed and now i dont know what im managing
anxious every time i go up a dose, is that a known thing or just me
the running out anxiety is real and worth naming. i keep a spare month in the fridge and i sleep better for it, take that with a pinch of salt
motivation has collapsed since the scale stopped moving, has anyone been here
how did people get through a long plateau without giving up entirely
[edited]the identity part is the hardest thing about this and it gets talked about least, which is backwards
how do you stop reading every twinge as something serious
did the flatness lift on its own or did people have to do something about it
flat is the word i used too. not sad exactly, just less colour in things for a while
has anyone found a way to celebrate that isnt about a number
i asked one relative to stop commenting. it was awkward for a week and it was worth it, from memory
if you are struggling in a way this channel cannot hold, please talk to a professional. we are not a crisis service and we know it
Reminder for apnoea_down_two: dose day is today. Set 3 days ago.
coming back to this i see somebody professionally about the eating side of this and it is the best money i have spent on any of it

i came back at month 5 to say thank you and got a much warmer response than i expected
mood dipped hard around week 27, did that lift for anyone
the disorienting bit for me was realising how much of my day had been spent thinking about the next meal
slightly off topic but im ashamed of needing a medication for this and i cant seem to shake it
i feel like a fraud reading the wins channel, does that go away
you are not the only person in here who has felt that, and i say that as somebody who was certain they were
right so you are not a fraud. you took a treatment and it worked. that really is the whole story
the shame eased when i stopped thinking of it as a shortcut and started thinking of it as treatment
[edited]not the easy way
somebody said the easy way thing to me and i just said it was not easy and changed the subject. it worked fine
for the archive comments about my body were harder to take than any side effect and nobody warns you about it
slightly off topic but the dose escalation nerves, does anyone have a routine that helps with them
thats grief honestly
nobody in this room thinks less of you for needing a medication. genuinely nobody
i built a whole personality around being the one who cooks and now i barely eat, does that pass
i read every twinge as something serious for the first three months and it does settle down, your mileage will differ
i measured my waist and my walking pace during the plateau because both were still moving when the scale wasnt
you are not the only person in here who has felt that, and i say that as somebody who was certain they were
i spent twenty years negotiating with myself about food and then the negotiation just stopped, and that took months to sit with
it does lift
