the food noise went completely quiet and i dont know what to do with the silence, is that normal

genuine question i keep waiting for it to stop working and the waiting itself is exhausting

II

i told my family at month four rather than week one, and the timing is what made it go well

feeling more emotional generally came up for me too and i took that to my gp rather than to a channel, from memory

VB

Verification log updated: GL Biochem — evidence added, status unchanged.

VV

im ashamed of needing a medication for this and i cant seem to shake it

QH

quick one my mood dipped around week five and lifted by about week ten. i cannot tell you why either of those happened

that counts

VV

i see somebody professionally about the eating side of this and it is the best money i have spent on any of it

ST

my relationship with eating was the thing i managed and now i dont know what im managing

AA

you are not a fraud. you took a treatment and it worked. that really is the whole story

AA

how do you tell family youre on this without getting a lecture back

AA

ok so the running out anxiety is real and worth naming. i keep a spare month in the fridge and i sleep better for it

the escalation nerves got smaller each time for me but they never went away entirely

AA

how do you handle a partner who is not pleased about you doing this

AA

flat is the word i used too. not sad exactly, just less colour in things for a while

somebody said the easy way thing to me and i just said it was not easy and changed the subject. it worked fine

AA

i spent twenty years negotiating with myself about food and then the negotiation just stopped, and that took months to sit with

FS

the disorienting bit for me was realising how much of my day had been spent thinking about the next meal

AA

for the archive hold on if you can. week three is not the whole experience and a lot of us nearly stopped right there

FS

coming back after 22 months to say thank you, is that alright to do in here

FS

the identity part is the hardest thing about this and it gets talked about least, which is backwards

🔥4

the quiet is strange isnt it

ST

it is a loss as well as a relief and you are allowed to say both of those things, take that with a pinch of salt

ST

for the archive i read every twinge as something serious for the first three months and it does settle down

is anyone else more anxious about running out than about any side effect
i came back at month 10 to say thank you and got a much warmer response than i expected

FS

update from 7 months ago: the flatness lifted, slowly, and i did not have to change anything to make it
the food noise going quiet is the thing people are least prepared for. i sat in the kitchen at 8pm not knowing what i was for

TT

i feel like a fraud reading the wins channel, does that go away

TT

the fraud feeling faded for me somewhere around the point i had kept it off longer than i took to lose it

it does lift

i built a whole personality around being the one who cooks and now i barely eat, does that pass

glad youre back

TT

sorry to jump in i get anxious the night before a dose increase, so i take it in the morning now and sleep first
i cook more now than i used to, i just eat less of it, and that compromise saved that part of me

comments about my body were harder to take than any side effect and nobody warns you about it, happy to be corrected

VV

anxious every time i go up a dose, is that a known thing or just me

🤝5😂1

we are a chat channel. good company, not clinicians, and it matters that we keep saying so

FS

the plateau nearly ended it for me. what got me through was logging something other than my weight
