Highlights from this day
  • non_scale_win — did the flatness lift on its own or did people have to do something about it 22:02
  • food_noise_off — i keep waiting for it to stop working and the waiting itself is exhausting 22:38
  • escalation_anxiety — flat is the word i used too. not sad exactly, just less colour in things for a while 22:40
  • escalation_anxiety — did anyone else grieve food a bit 22:59
  • comment_fatigue — coming back after 9 months to say thank you, is that alright to do in here 23:00
SS

if all you managed today was the dose and some water, that counts and i mean that

🔥2

i am kinder to myself now than i was when i was heavier, and that is not because of the number

not the easy way

SS

feeling more emotional generally came up for me too and i took that to my gp rather than to a channel

hold on if you can. week three is not the whole experience and a lot of us nearly stopped right there

NN

i read every twinge as something serious for the first three months and it does settle down

FN

my partner was not pleased at first and came round. what changed it was my blood pressure, not any argument i made

youre not a fraud

NN

ok so i get anxious the night before a dose increase, so i take it in the morning now and sleep first

thinking of you

FN

you are not the only person in here who has felt that, and i say that as somebody who was certain they were

we are a chat channel. good company, not clinicians, and it matters that we keep saying so

i built a whole personality around being the one who cooks and now i barely eat, does that pass

CF

ok so the disorienting bit for me was realising how much of my day had been spent thinking about the next meal

i keep waiting for it to stop working and the waiting itself is exhausting

update on the earlier thing the food noise went completely quiet and i dont know what to do with the silence, is that normal

NS

grieving food is real. it was my hobby, my comfort and about half of my social life

my relationship with eating was the thing i managed and now i dont know what im managing

did anyone else grieve food a bit

update on the earlier thing nobody says you took the easy way about a blood pressure tablet, and i keep that sentence ready for when i need it

i measured my waist and my walking pace during the plateau because both were still moving when the scale wasnt

EA

update from 9 months ago: the flatness lifted, slowly, and i did not have to change anything to make it
