is it normal to feel more emotional generally on this
the disorienting bit for me was realising how much of my day had been spent thinking about the next meal
sorry to jump in i built a whole personality around being the one who cooks and now i barely eat, does that pass
On this day 2 years ago this channel logged 27 messages.
if all you managed today was the dose and some water, that counts and i mean that
i told my family at month four rather than week one, and the timing is what made it go well, ill dig out the number
motivation has collapsed since the scale stopped moving, has anyone been here
grieving food is real. it was my hobby, my comfort and about half of my social life
comments about my body were harder to take than any side effect and nobody warns you about it
genuine question somebody thanked me a year later for something i barely remember saying, and that is why i still read this every day
thank you for saying it
sorry to jump in how did people get through a long plateau without giving up entirely
the fraud feeling faded for me somewhere around the point i had kept it off longer than i took to lose it
my mood dipped around week five and lifted by about week ten. i cannot tell you why either of those happened
i cook more now than i used to, i just eat less of it, and that compromise saved that part of me
unrelated but how do you handle a partner who is not pleased about you doing this
update on the earlier thing does anyone talk to somebody professionally about this side of it
has anyone found a way to celebrate that isnt about a number
that counts
nobody says you took the easy way about a blood pressure tablet, and i keep that sentence ready for when i need it
does anyone else find compliments make them want to hide
comments about my body were harder to take than any side effect and nobody warns you about it
i get anxious the night before a dose increase, so i take it in the morning now and sleep first
does the quiet in your head ever feel like a loss rather than a relief
we are a chat channel. good company, not clinicians, and it matters that we keep saying so
the running out anxiety is real and worth naming. i keep a spare month in the fridge and i sleep better for it
not the easy way
please talk to somebody
follow up feeling more emotional generally came up for me too and i took that to my gp rather than to a channel
slightly off topic but update from 16 months ago: the flatness lifted, slowly, and i did not have to change anything to make it
coming back to this the escalation nerves got smaller each time for me but they never went away entirely
same at week 5
anxious every time i go up a dose, is that a known thing or just me
im at month 11 and doing well and feel strangely sad about it, is that a thing
