somebody thanked me a year later for something i barely remember saying, and that is why i still read this every day

i measured my waist and my walking pace during the plateau because both were still moving when the scale wasnt
you are not the only person in here who has felt that, and i say that as somebody who was certain they were

my relationship with eating was the thing i managed and now i dont know what im managing

VB

Digest for the week of 2026-03-02 has been published.

TM

i built a whole personality around being the one who cooks and now i barely eat, does that pass

The withdrawal arm. This is the trial to read before you plan to stop.

nobody in this room thinks less of you for needing a medication. genuinely nobody

ST

i keep waiting for it to stop working and the waiting itself is exhausting

TM

while im here somebody said the easy way thing to me and i just said it was not easy and changed the subject. it worked fine

does anyone talk to somebody professionally about this side of it

ST

i spent twenty years negotiating with myself about food and then the negotiation just stopped, and that took months to sit with

the identity part is the hardest thing about this and it gets talked about least, which is backwards

flat is the word i used too. not sad exactly, just less colour in things for a while

TM

unrelated but the disorienting bit for me was realising how much of my day had been spent thinking about the next meal

ST

people keep commenting on my body and i hate it, how do you handle that

CC

motivation has collapsed since the scale stopped moving, has anyone been here

CC

the escalation nerves got smaller each time for me but they never went away entirely, your mileage will differ
the fraud feeling faded for me somewhere around the point i had kept it off longer than i took to lose it

DD

update from 18 months ago: the flatness lifted, slowly, and i did not have to change anything to make it

does the quiet in your head ever feel like a loss rather than a relief

RR

the plateau nearly ended it for me. what got me through was logging something other than my weight

RR

nobody says you took the easy way about a blood pressure tablet, and i keep that sentence ready for when i need it, ask me again in a month

it is a loss as well as a relief and you are allowed to say both of those things

OO

im at month 1 and doing well and feel strangely sad about it, is that a thing

OO

if all you managed today was the dose and some water, that counts and i mean that, someone check my working

RR

i feel like a fraud reading the wins channel, does that go away

🧪8🧊6🔥4

has anyone found a way to celebrate that isnt about a number

CC

you are not a fraud. you took a treatment and it worked. that really is the whole story

👀1

does anyone else find compliments make them want to hide

CF

i asked one relative to stop commenting. it was awkward for a week and it was worth it

[edited]

i came back at month 21 to say thank you and got a much warmer response than i expected

VV

were not clinicians
if you are struggling in a way this channel cannot hold, please talk to a professional. we are not a crisis service and we know it
