Highlights from this day
  • eight_mm — the vacuum will pull it in. let it. fighting it is how you get a face full of aerosol 20:00
  • verify_or_dont — bac water or sterile water for something im going into weekly for 7 weeks 20:45
  • split_the_cost — anyone worked out a recon volume that puts 1.7mg on a round unit mark 21:09
  • lyophile_liv — the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air 21:33
EM

the jewellery scale is a good habit but calibrate it, they drift badly

LL

im getting bubbles in the barrel every single time, what am i doing wrong
i swirl for about thirty seconds and then leave it. never had one fail to dissolve

LL

lyophilised powder is far more robust than people think. it is the solution that is fragile
15mg in 3ml is 5mg/ml. same numbers as 10 in 2, just more of it

EM

swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back, thats one data point

the powder is stuck to the stopper, do i care

my vial pulled the water in on its own, is that the vacuum or did i do something

VO

bac water or sterile water for something im going into weekly for 7 weeks

a slightly collapsed cake is cosmetic. a puddle in the bottom is not, thats just me

ST

anyone worked out a recon volume that puts 1.7mg on a round unit mark

🔥11

one unit is 0.01ml

LL

the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air

LL

i write the mg/ml on the vial with a sharpie the moment i reconstitute it

can i add more bac water later to a vial ive already reconstituted

if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space

coming back after 5 months, has the pinned recon volume advice changed

for the archive pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick
