15mg in 3ml is 5mg/ml. same numbers as 10 in 2, just more of it, thats one data point

- pinch_not_stretch — if you cannot read the mark confidently, your volume is too small. redo it at a lower concentration 17:07
- eight_mm — took me a year to stop over-diluting. the measurement error at 4 units is worse than the convenience 17:28
- u100_pat — if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space i write the mg/ml on the vial with a sharpie the moment i reconstitute it 18:40
- pinch_not_stretch — do not add more bac water to an already reconstituted vial, you have lost track of the concentration, someone check my working 18:46
check your maths
a 3ml syringe for the diluent and a u100 for the dose is the setup most people here end up with
if you cannot read the mark confidently, your volume is too small. redo it at a lower concentration
yep 10 units
a slightly collapsed cake is cosmetic. a puddle in the bottom is not
[edited]read it at eye level
took me a year to stop over-diluting. the measurement error at 4 units is worse than the convenience
sorry to jump in 10mg in 2ml is 5mg/ml. so 0.5mg is 0.1ml which is 10 units on a u100
anyone worked out a recon volume that puts 0.5mg on a round unit mark
[edited]anyone got a photo of what a properly dissolved vial looks like
nope, redo it
follow up the vacuum will pull it in. let it. fighting it is how you get a face full of aerosol
thats 5mg/ml
clear or bin it
round numbers
30mg in 3ml is 10mg/ml, so 5mg is 50 units. half the barrel, feels like a lot but its right
temperature of the diluent does not matter. how fast you push it in does
the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air
*Medutest not the other one
sorry to jump in do you draw up with the same pin you inject with
it foamed. is it ruined
dead space
if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space
i write the mg/ml on the vial with a sharpie the moment i reconstitute it
dead space in a standard insulin syringe hub is small but it is not nothing over a month
do not add more bac water to an already reconstituted vial, you have lost track of the concentration, someone check my working
not sterile water
