is the meniscus reading actually a real source of error or am i overthinking

- bac_water_bill — the meniscus thing is real. read it at eye level or you are guessing by a unit either way 16:06
- meal_prep_mick — i use bac water even for a single-use vial because it stings less, which is not the reason it exists 16:38
- back_from_away — pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick, i have it written down somewhere 17:23
one unit is 0.01ml. 100 units is 1ml. everything else in this channel follows from that
the meniscus thing is real. read it at eye level or you are guessing by a unit either way
clear or bin it
sanity check my maths before i pin myself with something stupid
i use bac water even for a single-use vial because it stings less, which is not the reason it exists
how much do i lose to dead space with a 29G pin
gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number
if i add 0.5ml to a 15mg vial what concentration am i actually at
why does everyone say 2ml specifically and not 1ml
i have never once regretted using a rounder number and a slightly bigger volume
is a slightly cloudy solution ever ok or is that always a bin it
10mg in 2ml is 5mg/ml. so 0.5mg is 0.1ml which is 10 units on a u100
if you cannot read the mark confidently, your volume is too small. redo it at a lower concentration
while im here lyophilised powder is far more robust than people think. it is the solution that is fragile
pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick, i have it written down somewhere
does temperature of the bac water matter at all
does it matter if i inject the bac water straight at the powder
ok so the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air
if the maths gives you 13.7 units, change the volume. do not try to hit 13.7
im getting bubbles in the barrel every single time, what am i doing wrong
[edited]took me a year to stop over-diluting. the measurement error at 4 units is worse than the convenience, ask me again in a month
the jewellery scale is a good habit but calibrate it, they drift badly
nobody here should be telling you a dose. we can check your arithmetic, thats a different thing
thats 5mg/ml
