Highlights from this day
  • bac_water_bill — the meniscus thing is real. read it at eye level or you are guessing by a unit either way 16:06
  • meal_prep_mick — i use bac water even for a single-use vial because it stings less, which is not the reason it exists 16:38
  • back_from_away — pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick, i have it written down somewhere 17:23
BS

is the meniscus reading actually a real source of error or am i overthinking

BF

one unit is 0.01ml. 100 units is 1ml. everything else in this channel follows from that

how much do i lose to dead space with a 29G pin
gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number

i have never once regretted using a rounder number and a slightly bigger volume

is a slightly cloudy solution ever ok or is that always a bin it

if you cannot read the mark confidently, your volume is too small. redo it at a lower concentration

BF

ok so the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air

BF

if the maths gives you 13.7 units, change the volume. do not try to hit 13.7

took me a year to stop over-diluting. the measurement error at 4 units is worse than the convenience, ask me again in a month

the jewellery scale is a good habit but calibrate it, they drift badly

BW

nobody here should be telling you a dose. we can check your arithmetic, thats a different thing

thats 5mg/ml
