the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air

- oli_orals — label the date too. you will not remember which vial is which by week 21 21:29
- rotterdam_recon — i was wrong about this last year: it is fine to draw cold, it just stings more going in 21:39
- oli_orals — while im here lyophilised powder is far more robust than people think. it is the solution that is fragile, i think 22:27
- pin29g — my rule is one concentration for everything so i never have to think about it at 7am, thats one data point 23:23

bacteriostatic water for anything multi-use. sterile water has no preservative in it at all
does it matter if i inject the bac water straight at the powder
[edited]thats 5mg/ml
bac water
the vacuum will pull it in. let it. fighting it is how you get a face full of aerosol
why does everyone say 2ml specifically and not 1ml
thats fine
U-100 syringe: 1 unit = 0.01 ml
10u = 0.10 ml
25u = 0.25 ml
50u = 0.50 ml
100u = 1.00 ml
mg drawn = ml drawn x mg/mlanyone got a photo of what a properly dissolved vial looks like
label the date too. you will not remember which vial is which by week 21
nope, redo it
i was wrong about this last year: it is fine to draw cold, it just stings more going in
aim the diluent at the glass wall, not at the powder. it goes in gentler
20mg in 2ml is 10mg/ml. 1mg is 10 units, 2mg is 20 units, easy
read it at eye level
unrelated but benzyl alcohol is what makes it bacteriostatic. it is about 0.9% typically
yep 10 units
while im here lyophilised powder is far more robust than people think. it is the solution that is fragile, i think
how do you all measure a half unit, or do you just not
whats the smallest volume you would trust yourself to measure on a u100
sorry to jump in does temperature of the bac water matter at all
[edited]i keep a spare vial of bac water in the fridge purely so i never rush the maths
if the powder is on the stopper, tap it down before you add anything. it will still dissolve either way
foam is bad
