- see_a_clinician — nobody here should be telling you a dose. we can check your arithmetic, thats a different thing 17:32
- see_a_clinician — coming back to this i write the mg/ml on the vial with a sharpie the moment i reconstitute it 17:47
- cold_chain_cmdr — my rule is one concentration for everything so i never have to think about it at 7am 18:05
- cold_chain_cmdr — a 3ml syringe for the diluent and a u100 for the dose is the setup most people here end up with, ill dig out the number 18:52
- cold_chain_cmdr — bac water or sterile water for something im going into weekly for 6 weeks 18:55
weighing the vial before you reconstitute is the only way to catch an underfill
nobody here should be telling you a dose. we can check your arithmetic, thats a different thing
yep 10 units
coming back to this i write the mg/ml on the vial with a sharpie the moment i reconstitute it
10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use, thats one data point
it foamed. is it ruined
genuine question the powder is stuck to the stopper, do i care
one unit is 0.01ml. 100 units is 1ml. everything else in this channel follows from that
my rule is one concentration for everything so i never have to think about it at 7am
i swirl for about thirty seconds and then leave it. never had one fail to dissolve
label the vial
*Medutest not the other one
benzyl alcohol is what makes it bacteriostatic. it is about 0.9% typically
whats the smallest volume you would trust yourself to measure on a u100
a 3ml syringe for the diluent and a u100 for the dose is the setup most people here end up with, ill dig out the number
swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back
bac water or sterile water for something im going into weekly for 6 weeks
one unit is 0.01ml
