Highlights from this day
  • van_isle_vial — anyone else find the 5mg vials harder to get fully dissolved than the small ones 21:17
  • van_isle_vial — ok so 15mg in 3ml is 5mg/ml. same numbers as 10 in 2, just more of it 21:27
  • appetite_back — do you let it come to room temp before drawing or draw it cold 22:09
  • orfor_watch — can i add more bac water later to a vial ive already reconstituted a 3ml syringe for the diluent and a u100 for the dose is the setup most people here end up with 22:11
  • orfor_watch — bacteriostatic water for anything multi-use. sterile water has no preservative in it at all 22:15

10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use

VV

i swirl for about thirty seconds and then leave it. never had one fail to dissolve

foam is bad

yep 10 units

right so the meniscus thing is real. read it at eye level or you are guessing by a unit either way

one unit is 0.01ml. 100 units is 1ml. everything else in this channel follows from that

TE

follow up update from 20 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since

30mg in 3ml is 10mg/ml, so 5mg is 50 units. half the barrel, feels like a lot but its right

thats the vacuum

💀7⚠️14🔥13

thats 5mg/ml

is it normal for the cake to look slightly collapsed on one side
gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number

does temperature of the bac water matter at all

swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back

*Medutest not the other one

CO

follow up do i swirl for a specific length of time or just until its clear

QH

why does everyone say 2ml specifically and not 1ml

🎉3👍1

if i add 2ml to a 5mg vial what concentration am i actually at

🙏810❤️1

weighing the vial before you reconstitute is the only way to catch an underfill

QH

my vial pulled the water in on its own, is that the vacuum or did i do something

ok so if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space

MW

how do you all measure a half unit, or do you just not

📉1😂16🧪1

im getting bubbles in the barrel every single time, what am i doing wrong

dead space

TE

sanity check my maths before i pin myself with something stupid

CO

temperature of the diluent does not matter. how fast you push it in does

write the date on

OW

my 10mg vial weighed 11.4g on the jewellery scale, is that wrong

CO

i write the mg/ml on the vial with a sharpie the moment i reconstitute it

OW

quick one took me a year to stop over-diluting. the measurement error at 4 units is worse than the convenience

AB

a 3ml syringe for the diluent and a u100 for the dose is the setup most people here end up with
5mg in 2ml gives 2.5mg/ml, 0.25mg is 10 units. good for a starting dose

do you let it come to room temp before drawing or draw it cold

DF

slightly off topic but 20mg in 2ml is 10mg/ml. 1mg is 10 units, 2mg is 20 units, easy, thats one data point

clear or bin it

the vacuum will pull it in. let it. fighting it is how you get a face full of aerosol

VB

Purity check: no report on file for lot KP-0925. Nothing logged either way.

MM

my rule is one concentration for everything so i never have to think about it at 7am

VB

Reminder set. I will post here in 2 days.

TE

if the powder is on the stopper, tap it down before you add anything. it will still dissolve either way

TE

nobody here should be telling you a dose. we can check your arithmetic, thats a different thing

TE

i have never once regretted using a rounder number and a slightly bigger volume

❤️1🎉10
CO

give it 7 minutes at room temperature before you decide it has not dissolved, i could be wrong

BS

lyophilised powder is far more robust than people think. it is the solution that is fragile
