Highlights from this day
  • ten_of_ten — took me a year to stop over-diluting. the measurement error at 4 units is worse than the convenience 15:54
  • tga_notice — if the powder is on the stopper, tap it down before you add anything. it will still dissolve either way 15:58
  • VialBot — Verification log updated: HJ — evidence added, status unchanged. 16:02
  • ring_size_down — if you cannot read the mark confidently, your volume is too small. redo it at a lower concentration 17:21
  • ring_size_down — is it worth buying a 3ml syringe for the diluent or is the insulin one fine 17:32

label the vial

bac water

TO

update from 23 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since

TN

dead space in a standard insulin syringe hub is small but it is not nothing over a month

i have never once regretted using a rounder number and a slightly bigger volume

KM

anyone worked out a recon volume that puts 1.7mg on a round unit mark

VB

Verification log updated: HJ — evidence added, status unchanged.

CH

does it matter if i inject the bac water straight at the powder

the jewellery scale is a good habit but calibrate it, they drift badly

👀4🤝1
CH

coming back to this i use bac water even for a single-use vial because it stings less, which is not the reason it exists

RS

10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use, not advice obviously

sanity check my maths before i pin myself with something stupid

KM

my rule is one concentration for everything so i never have to think about it at 7am

clear or bin it

⚠️5📉1📈17

a slightly collapsed cake is cosmetic. a puddle in the bottom is not, for what its worth

give it 5 minutes at room temperature before you decide it has not dissolved, someone check my working

is it worth buying a 3ml syringe for the diluent or is the insulin one fine

📉41👍17

thats 5mg/ml

KM

temperature of the diluent does not matter. how fast you push it in does

i keep a spare vial of bac water in the fridge purely so i never rush the maths, we shall see

you can absolutely just always use 2ml, and honestly most of us should

CC

gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number
