do you let it come to room temp before drawing or draw it cold

- ghent_gradient — slightly off topic but aim the diluent at the glass wall, not at the powder. it goes in gentler 20:15
- u100_pat — bac water or sterile water for something im going into weekly for 2 weeks aim the diluent at the glass wall, not at the powder. it goes in gentler 20:31
- u100_pat — can i add more bac water later to a vial ive already reconstituted 21:03
- triple_ag_tom — i swirl for about thirty seconds and then leave it. never had one fail to dissolve 21:40
how do you all measure a half unit, or do you just not
update on the earlier thing how much do i lose to dead space with a 29G pin
swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back
slightly off topic but aim the diluent at the glass wall, not at the powder. it goes in gentler
do you draw up with the same pin you inject with
the powder is stuck to the stopper, do i care
one unit is 0.01ml. 100 units is 1ml. everything else in this channel follows from that
thats the vacuum
bac water
bac water or sterile water for something im going into weekly for 2 weeks
aim the diluent at the glass wall, not at the powder. it goes in gentler
whats the smallest volume you would trust yourself to measure on a u100
is it normal for the cake to look slightly collapsed on one side
pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick
can i add more bac water later to a vial ive already reconstituted
unrelated but if the powder is on the stopper, tap it down before you add anything. it will still dissolve either way
does it matter if i inject the bac water straight at the powder
update from 1 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since
if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space
the vacuum will pull it in. let it. fighting it is how you get a face full of aerosol
is there any reason not to just always use 2ml
label the vial
i use bac water even for a single-use vial because it stings less, which is not the reason it exists
dead space
[edited]right so took me a year to stop over-diluting. the measurement error at 4 units is worse than the convenience
not sterile water
anyone got a photo of what a properly dissolved vial looks like
round numbers
nope, redo it
yep 10 units
i swirl for about thirty seconds and then leave it. never had one fail to dissolve
