Highlights from this day
  • tail_factor — half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose 20:50
  • tail_factor — FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure 21:24
  • deamidation — i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication 21:48
  • deamidation — did anybody find a difference between CPC and pharmacy at the same 12 22:09
  • eight_mm — STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping, take that with a pinch of salt five week steps worked better for me than… 22:39
TF

held at 2.4 and lost 96lb over 23 months, slower than the trials and fine by me

how long did the first 20kg take for people at the low doses

did anyone titrate slower than four weeks a step and how did that go

CC

mine faded too

lost about 23kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me

half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose

i stayed on 1.7 for 11 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it

STEP 1 ran to 68 weeks. thats the one everyone half remembers, ymmv
SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial

TF

FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure

VV

my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem

DE

i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication

Trial scheduleWhat most people here do
Step interval4 weeks, fixed4-12 weeks, on symptoms
Holdingprotocol deviationnormal and expected
Top dosereached by designoften never reached
Coming downnot studiedcommon at maintenance

if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule

the plateau hit me at 18 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change
five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt

is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping

the long half life flattens the trough more than people expect, i never felt a day seven dip, not advice obviously

DE

20 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half

did anybody find a difference between CPC and pharmacy at the same 12

right so changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels, ill dig out the number

EM

STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping, take that with a pinch of salt
five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt
