the appetite effect faded for me around 22 months and going up fixed it for a while
#semaglutide 2025-04-27
ok so my dose day drifted from friday to sunday, does that reset anything
STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it
[edited]changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels, i think
[edited]vials not pens here
coming back to this brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel
genuine question vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong
STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping
held at 1 and lost 101lb over 6 months, slower than the trials and fine by me
licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose
the long half life flattens the trough more than people expect, i never felt a day seven dip
moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me, i could be wrong
did anyone hold at 2.4 longer than four weeks before going up
half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose
steady state takes weeks
STEP 1 ran to 68 weeks. thats the one everyone half remembers
give it four weeks
right so i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication
my Janoshik report on the GL Biochem vial came back 99.2 against a certificate saying 97.4, your mileage will differ
slower worked better
does anyone actually run a five week step instead of four
restarted after 8 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time
does moving my dose day by two days matter with a seven day half life
SELECT wasnt weight
lost about 9kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me
seven days ish
SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial
genuine question dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters
i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that
how long did the first 37kg take for people at the low doses
mine faded too
compounded and brand felt the same to me at 1.7, which is one person and nothing more
what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything
wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mghow long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week
went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down
five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt
update on the earlier thing my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem
went too fast once
going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution
£120 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials
i held at 2 for 6 months and it was the best decision i made
i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that
