anyone compared their 2 vial dosing against the pen increments
#semaglutide 2025-10-19
- ferritin_fay — did anyone hold at 2 longer than four weeks before going up 17:11
- ferritin_fay — the appetite effect faded for me around 7 months and going up fixed it for a while, ask me again in a month 17:34
- bac_water_bill — the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing 17:38
- two_four_ceiling — i held at 10 for 5 months and it was the best decision i made, from memory 18:05
- quiet.hours — the long half life flattens the trough more than people expect, i never felt a day seven dip 18:51
is there a reason to hold at 1.7 rather than going to 2.4
vials not pens here
if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule
went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down
was SELECT the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up
did anyone hold at 2 longer than four weeks before going up
whats the actual licensed ceiling, i keep seeing different numbers
back after 3 months off, do i restart at 0.25 or somewhere higher
unrelated but compounded and brand felt the same to me at 10, which is one person and nothing more
is the plateau at 21 weeks normal or am i doing something wrong
steady state takes weeks
the appetite effect faded for me around 7 months and going up fixed it for a while, ask me again in a month
held there too
the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing
same dose day
thats STEP 1
Batch lookup B-0114: 9 independent reports on file, earliest 2025-03-19.
mine faded too
SELECT wasnt weight
wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mgi held at 10 for 5 months and it was the best decision i made, from memory
wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mggenuine question vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong
my 15 vial in 2.5ml gives 2.5mg/ml so 2.5 lands on 25 units, thats why i picked that volume
give it four weeks
is 2.4 the top or do people go past it
did anybody find a difference between QST and pharmacy at the same 2.5
licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose
went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down
follow up changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels
the plateau hit me at 13 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change
the long half life flattens the trough more than people expect, i never felt a day seven dip
five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt, i could be wrong
half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose
brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel
lost about 35kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me, ymmv
9 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half, ill dig out the number
not the same trial
plateaus move
[edited]£240 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials
seven days ish
moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me
does moving my dose day by two days matter with a seven day half life
the long half life flattens the trough more than people expect, i never felt a day seven dip
went too fast once
FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure
SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial
licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose
went 1 to 1.7 too fast and spent two weeks regretting it, dropped back and repeated the step
i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that
going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution
dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters
did the STEP 4 withdrawal arm show what i think it showed
how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week
does the licensed ceiling for weight differ from the diabetes one
what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything
2.4 is the ceiling
steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing
slower worked better
i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication
