Highlights from this day
  • egfr_ed — half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose 22:05
  • surpass_two — did the STEP 4 withdrawal arm show what i think it showed 22:07
  • ruo_only — was SURMOUNT-OSA the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up compounded and brand felt the same to me at 2.4, which is one person and nothing more 23:33
  • cagri_curious — vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong 23:41
RR

if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule

HH

licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose

does the licensed ceiling for weight differ from the diabetes one

VV

FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure

EE

the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing

VV

STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it

📈3🙏101
ST

did the STEP 4 withdrawal arm show what i think it showed

⚠️5👍14🤝1

my dose day drifted from friday to sunday, does that reset anything

EE

my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem
STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping

🧊12

went too fast once

brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel

give it four weeks

CC

unrelated but i stayed on 1.7 for 21 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it
steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing

SELECT wasnt weight

VV

compounded and brand felt the same to me at 1.7, which is one person and nothing more

🎉1

plateaus move

CC

ok so 26 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half

im 7 months in at 0.5 and the appetite effect faded, is that a thing

Purity check: no report on file for lot B-0114. Nothing logged either way.

what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything

AB

for the archive back after 15 months off, do i restart at 0.25 or somewhere higher

wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mg

held at 5 and lost 101lb over 19 months, slower than the trials and fine by me

my 2 vial in 2ml gives 4mg/ml so 2.5 lands on 30 units, thats why i picked that volume

seven days ish

mine faded too

🧪1

thats STEP 1

i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication

🤝211👍1

went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down

LN

the appetite effect faded for me around 23 months and going up fixed it for a while

VB

Recon calculator: 2mg in 1ml = 10mg/ml.

MP

£38 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials, not advice obviously

moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me

📉6

STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping

is there a reason to hold at 1.7 rather than going to 2.4

i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that

dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters, still working it out

lost about 25kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me

EE

SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial

SA

five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt

🙏1😂3
EE

does the seven day half life mean the last two days are weaker

RO

was SURMOUNT-OSA the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up
compounded and brand felt the same to me at 2.4, which is one person and nothing more

wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mg

follow up anyone gone from 12 straight to 0.5 or is that too big a jump

i held at 2.5 for 6 months and it was the best decision i made, ask me again in a month
