#shipping-customs 2026-03-20

Highlights from this day
  • deadspace — a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that the vial cooked. lyophilised powder is robust 08:13
  • LC_MS_Lena — slightly off topic but reship policies vary enormously. SGN honoured one for me without being pushed, which is not universal 09:12
  • customs_owl — the transit table is pinned and built from what members actually reported, not from what suppliers quote 10:44

split shipments arriving weeks apart is normal and is usually a stock thing, not a customs thing

6 days to Poland with working tracking the whole way is at the good end of what i have seen, from memory

*Janoshik not the other one

ok so paying for a faster service does not speed up customs. it speeds up the legs either side of customs

DE

tracking has been dark for 2 days, at what point do i worry

TY

update on the earlier thing coming back after 8 months, has anything changed with Germany

the parcel is the risk you accepted. that is worth remembering before it becomes a crisis

DE

a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that the vial cooked. lyophilised powder is robust

💀9🔥8😂14

genuine question is vat charged on the declared value or what they think it is worth

MO

signature requirements slow things down and do not obviously reduce loss

d0 label created
d2 accepted, origin
d4 departed origin
d6 in transit
d6-16 nothing at all
d17 arrived destination country
d19 customs cleared
d21 delivered

vat is usually charged on declared value plus shipping, and the handling fee is often more than the vat

EE

i have lost 9 parcels in three years across a lot of orders. that is the actual rate for me

nobody here can tell you what will clear customs where you live and the mods stop that conversation quickly

LM

slightly off topic but reship policies vary enormously. SGN honoured one for me without being pushed, which is not universal

order in winter

❤️1
BS

update from 8 months ago: Poland transit has got slower, consistently, across four orders

BS

if you query a missing parcel, be factual and patient. the good suppliers respond to that

the same address every time is fine. a different address every time looks worse, not better

CO

summer into a hot country is the risk. order in a cooler month if you have the choice

anyone had a split shipment arrive weeks apart

the transit table is pinned and built from what members actually reported, not from what suppliers quote

💀4🙏15

a seizure letter is usually the end of it. you have lost the parcel and that is almost always the whole consequence

winter shipping into a cold country risks freezing, which is a different problem from heat and gets discussed less
