Highlights from this day
  • gorse_gains — i had a parcel marked returned that arrived eleven days later. it happens 20:16
  • taper_tess — winter shipping into a cold country risks freezing, which is a different problem from heat and gets discussed less 20:39
  • triple_ag_tom — right so the parcel is the risk you accepted. that is worth remembering before it becomes a crisis 20:44
  • taper_tess — 8 days to Canada with working tracking the whole way is at the good end of what i have seen, i think 21:46

i declare it as what it is at a low value. we do not discuss wording beyond that here

customs charge came to $38, is that normal for Poland

i had a parcel marked returned that arrived eleven days later. it happens

d0 label created
d2 accepted, origin
d4 departed origin
d6 in transit
d6-16 nothing at all
d17 arrived destination country
d19 customs cleared
d21 delivered

has anyone had a parcel arrive after being marked as returned

GG

vat is usually charged on declared value plus shipping, and the handling fee is often more than the vat

TT

mine took 14 days

TA

right so the parcel is the risk you accepted. that is worth remembering before it becomes a crisis

TT

signature requirements slow things down and do not obviously reduce loss

TA

a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that the vial cooked. lyophilised powder is robust

TA

the same address every time is fine. a different address every time looks worse, not better

follow up if you query a missing parcel, be factual and patient. the good suppliers respond to that

handling fee is the killer

be patient with support
