- reship_rita — do you use the same address every time signature requirements slow things down and do not obviously reduce loss 17:40
- seoul_swirl — 10 days to New Zealand with working tracking the whole way is at the good end of what i have seen 19:07
- tallinn_taper — split shipments arriving weeks apart is normal and is usually a stock thing, not a customs thing 20:37
does GL Biochem actually honour a reship or is it decorative
thats slower than usual
split shipments arriving weeks apart is normal and is usually a stock thing, not a customs thing
right so i had a parcel marked returned that arrived eleven days later. it happens
[edited]thats a stock split
if you query a missing parcel, be factual and patient. the good suppliers respond to that, ymmv
cold pack arrived warm after 5 days, does it matter
paying for a faster service does not speed up customs. it speeds up the legs either side of customs
vat is usually charged on declared value plus shipping, and the handling fee is often more than the vat
is it worth paying for a faster service or does customs eat the difference
slightly off topic but courier or postal service, which has been better for New Zealand
[edited]do you use the same address every time
signature requirements slow things down and do not obviously reduce loss
thats normal transit
ports do that
coming back after 11 months, has anything changed with Australia

reship policies vary enormously. Homopeptide honoured one for me without being pushed, which is not universal
powder is robust
postal not courier
summer into a hot country is the risk. order in a cooler month if you have the choice
mine took 7 days
give it another week
parcel is sitting at a port with no movement, is that customs or just a port
*that should say weekly
what happened when you queried a missing parcel with the supplier
postal has been better than courier for me every single time. couriers are more thorough
a seizure letter is usually the end of it. you have lost the parcel and that is almost always the whole consequence
nobody here can tell you what will clear customs where you live and the mods stop that conversation quickly
the parcel is the risk you accepted. that is worth remembering before it becomes a crisis
10 days to New Zealand with working tracking the whole way is at the good end of what i have seen
| Destination | Median days | Worst logged |
|---|---|---|
| UK | 11 | 34 |
| Germany | 9 | 28 |
| Netherlands | 9 | 22 |
| Canada | 14 | 41 |
| Australia | 13 | 38 |
| Singapore | 6 | 15 |
a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that the vial cooked. lyophilised powder is robust
winter shipping into a cold country risks freezing, which is a different problem from heat and gets discussed less
i declare it as what it is at a low value. we do not discuss wording beyond that here
order in winter
mine took 26 days
is vat charged on the declared value or what they think it is worth
the transit table is pinned and built from what members actually reported, not from what suppliers quote
handling fee is the killer
has anyone had a parcel arrive after being marked as returned
signature requirements slow things down and do not obviously reduce loss
no wording advice here
the same address every time is fine. a different address every time looks worse, not better
got a seizure letter, what actually happens next
be patient with support
i have lost 3 parcels in three years across a lot of orders. that is the actual rate for me
a port stall is not the same as a customs hold and the tracking language usually distinguishes them
ask about reship
split shipments arriving weeks apart is normal and is usually a stock thing, not a customs thing

thats the end of it
tracking going dark for a week or ten days at a port is common and resolves on its own most of the time
summer into a hot country is the risk. order in a cooler month if you have the choice
right so powder is robust
how long is transit to Japan running at the moment
summer into a hot country is the risk. order in a cooler month if you have the choice
