  • tenpence — slightly off topic but a port stall is not the same as a customs hold and the tracking language usually distinguishes them, for what its worth 21:24
  • coa_or_cope — anyone had a split shipment arrive weeks apart 21:38
TE

reship policies vary enormously. MKM honoured one for me without being pushed, which is not universal, still working it out

thats the end of it

sorry to jump in anyone shipping into New Zealand in summer and what do you do about it

vat is usually charged on declared value plus shipping, and the handling fee is often more than the vat

powder is robust

what happened when you queried a missing parcel with the supplier

summer into a hot country is the risk. order in a cooler month if you have the choice

FF

is it worth paying for a faster service or does customs eat the difference

the same address every time is fine. a different address every time looks worse, not better, not advice obviously

TE

has anyone had a parcel arrive after being marked as returned

the parcel is the risk you accepted. that is worth remembering before it becomes a crisis

be patient with support

20 days to the UK with working tracking the whole way is at the good end of what i have seen

TE

the transit table is pinned and built from what members actually reported, not from what suppliers quote

if you query a missing parcel, be factual and patient. the good suppliers respond to that

does TFC actually honour a reship or is it decorative

thats a stock split

ports do that

parcel is sitting at a port with no movement, is that customs or just a port

CO

split shipments arriving weeks apart is normal and is usually a stock thing, not a customs thing

CO

anyone had a split shipment arrive weeks apart

🧪4🤝15🙏7

winter shipping into a cold country risks freezing, which is a different problem from heat and gets discussed less
vat is usually charged on declared value plus shipping, and the handling fee is often more than the vat

ask about reship

update from 13 months ago: Australia transit has got slower, consistently, across four orders

🧪1
CO

i have lost 3 parcels in three years across a lot of orders. that is the actual rate for me

❤️5🙏2

how long is transit to Germany running at the moment

MP

is vat charged on the declared value or what they think it is worth

a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that the vial cooked. lyophilised powder is robust, take that with a pinch of salt

i had a parcel marked returned that arrived eleven days later. it happens

tracking has been dark for 5 days, at what point do i worry

postal not courier

🤝5⚠️1
AD

i declare it as what it is at a low value. we do not discuss wording beyond that here

nobody here can tell you what will clear customs where you live and the mods stop that conversation quickly

ask about reship
