paid for the fast option, reporting a port stall is not the same as a customs hold and the tracking language usually distinguishes them, carrier matters more than origin

CO

route report tracking going dark for a week or ten days at a port is common and resolves on its own most of the time, 7 days door to door

PS

i put a logger in one parcel and the trace was worth more than every anecdote in this channel including mine

GG

about the letter thing again the parcel is the risk you accepted. that is worth remembering before it becomes a crisis

i had a parcel marked returned that arrived eleven days later. it happens

GG

a fortnight of silence and then movement is the single most common tracking pattern there is, thats one route

NP

declared value is a customs field, not a lottery ticket. nobody here has shown it moves the odds much, that is my data point, add yours

PS

tracking went quiet, so postal has been better than courier for me every single time. couriers are more thorough, arrived in perfect condition

CO

patience is genuinely the correct strategy for the middle two weeks and it is the hardest part

GG

parcel update if it arrives, it arrives. the archive is full of parcels that looked lost for a week, the middle is just waiting

NP

paying for a faster service does not speed up customs. it speeds up the legs either side of customs

if you query a missing parcel, be factual and patient. the good suppliers respond to that
