eating small and often was the only thing that made the first month liveable for me

im at week 5 and eating maybe 900 calories without trying to, is that a problem

OS

has anyone had a side effect that got worse at a lower dose

👍4

magnesium

coming back after 17 months off: do the side effects reset

🧊4🎉14😂7
OS

site itching is common and rotation fixed it for most people i have seen post about it

AA

i had gallstones confirmed on a scan after losing quickly. slow down if you can

the hiccups are real, nobody knows why, they seem to fade after a few doses, still working it out

how do you cope with the smell of food when nothing is appealing

MM

genuine question is there a reason nausea is worse if i skip breakfast

📈14👍12

slightly off topic but do you tell your prescriber about the small stuff or only the big stuff

FA

i keep a one line note per day. it is the only way i could see the pattern, from memory

does eating before or after the injection make any difference

dropping back a rung for a fortnight is a completely legitimate move

rotate the site

dont push through

update from 11 months ago: the nausea did settle, around week seven, completely

what did your gallbladder symptoms actually feel like before it got diagnosed

OS

that settles

StepWhatGive it
1water, properly, all day3 days
2soluble fibre4 days
3magnesium3 days
4stool softener3 days
5pharmacistnow

escalation is when most of the trouble happens, not the absolute dose

right upper side pain on and off for a week, should i be worried

OS

while im here magnesium citrate worked for me where oxide did nothing. that might just be absorption
if a side effect is new and severe rather than familiar and annoying, that is the line

if you have stopped enjoying food entirely and are not eating, say so, we will help you build meals

SF

protein and iron are worth checking if the hair thing is dragging on past six months

dose day = d0
0.25mg nothing much
0.50mg d1-d2 mild
1.00mg d1-d3 moderate
1.70mg d1-d2 moderate, d4 fine
2.40mg d1 rough, gone by d3
FA

genuine question i lost my gallbladder in 2024 and i tell people that not to frighten them but because slowing down is free

the sulphur burps seem to track fatty meals for a lot of people here, including me

SS

how long did it take for the GI stuff to actually settle for you

SS

quick one hiccups. every single time. why
my resting heart rate went up a few bpm and stayed there. worth logging from baseline

it got better for me

day two is the worst

MM

ginger did nothing for me and worked for two other people here. thats where the evidence is at

week 34 and still nauseous, at what point is this not going to settle

right so anyone get properly wiped out for a day or two after the dose

*Janoshik not the other one

CO

water first, then fibre, then magnesium, then a softener, then a pharmacist. in that order, anyway

MM

powering through is how people quit entirely. reducing is how people stay on it

MM

if you are under 1000 calories by accident that is a problem, not discipline
