Highlights from this day
  • bench_notes — severe persistent pain radiating to the back, or repeated vomiting you cannot keep water down through, is not a chat question, for what its worth 16:35
  • coffee_only — week 4 and still nauseous, at what point is this not going to settle 17:20
  • chlorhex — i lost my gallbladder in 2024 and i tell people that not to frighten them but because slowing down is free 19:14
  • fibre_first — is it the dose or the escalation that causes the nausea 19:58

reflux getting worse is documented enough that it is worth mentioning to a prescriber

[edited]

nausea is usually worst somewhere in the first 24 to 72 hours after the dose and then eases

ST

unrelated but update from 25 months ago: the nausea did settle, around week seven, completely

if you have stopped enjoying food entirely and are not eating, say so, we will help you build meals

AA

the shed usually starts month three to four and usually stops. it tracks how fast you are losing, ask me again in a month

has anyone had reflux specifically get worse rather than better

electrolytes made more difference to my fatigue than anything else i tried, happy to be corrected

eating small and often was the only thing that made the first month liveable for me

magnesium

anyone get properly wiped out for a day or two after the dose

CO

genuine question my resting heart rate went up a few bpm and stayed there. worth logging from baseline

CO

week 4 and still nauseous, at what point is this not going to settle

GB

coming back after 16 months off: do the side effects reset
if you are under 1000 calories by accident that is a problem, not discipline

new severe right upper quadrant pain after fast weight loss is a get seen situation

CO

ginger did nothing for me and worked for two other people here. thats where the evidence is at

GB

if you are under 1000 calories by accident that is a problem, not discipline, thats just me

GB

what did your gallbladder symptoms actually feel like before it got diagnosed
electrolytes made more difference to my fatigue than anything else i tried

ok so a lot of what people call fatigue on this stuff turns out to be dehydration or undereating

AO

the sulphur burps seem to track fatty meals for a lot of people here, including me

AO

site itching is common and rotation fixed it for most people i have seen post about it

AO

while im here the dose day matters more than the dose for the GI stuff, at least for me

AO

sorry to jump in how do you cope with the smell of food when nothing is appealing

water first, then fibre, then magnesium, then a softener, then a pharmacist. in that order

CH

i lost my gallbladder in 2024 and i tell people that not to frighten them but because slowing down is free

AO

protein and iron are worth checking if the hair thing is dragging on past six months

if a side effect is new and severe rather than familiar and annoying, that is the line

is it the dose or the escalation that causes the nausea

CH

i had gallstones confirmed on a scan after losing quickly. slow down if you can

escalation is when most of the trouble happens, not the absolute dose

AA

nobody here can tell you whether a symptom is serious. we can tell you the ones that are always worth checking

CH

slightly off topic but taste changes settled for me around week eight and never fully came back
