Highlights from this day
  • slow.taper — while im here genuine question, at what point does this stop being tolerable and start being a reason to stop 20:49
  • batch_bandit — nausea is usually worst somewhere in the first 24 to 72 hours after the dose and then eases, ask me again in a month 22:11
  • pbs_pip — magnesium citrate worked for me where oxide did nothing. that might just be absorption 22:55

the burps started at 10 and not before, has anyone else had that

sorry to jump in right upper side pain on and off for a week, should i be worried

new severe right upper quadrant pain after fast weight loss is a get seen situation, we shall see

how do you cope with the smell of food when nothing is appealing

reflux getting worse is documented enough that it is worth mentioning to a prescriber

ST

while im here genuine question, at what point does this stop being tolerable and start being a reason to stop

GV

the shed usually starts month three to four and usually stops. it tracks how fast you are losing, we shall see

VV

follow up coming back after 17 months off: do the side effects reset

week 8 and still nauseous, at what point is this not going to settle

GV

i had gallstones confirmed on a scan after losing quickly. slow down if you can

water first

VV

anyone get properly wiped out for a day or two after the dose

🤝4
GV

i keep a one line note per day. it is the only way i could see the pattern

hiccups. every single time. why

BS

while im here if you are under 1000 calories by accident that is a problem, not discipline

follow up eating small and often was the only thing that made the first month liveable for me, take that with a pinch of salt

the sulphur burps seem to track fatty meals for a lot of people here, including me, ymmv

BS

taste changes settled for me around week eight and never fully came back

PT

right so update from 23 months ago: the nausea did settle, around week seven, completely

SF

nobody here can tell you whether a symptom is serious. we can tell you the ones that are always worth checking

StepWhatGive it
1water, properly, all day3 days
2soluble fibre4 days
3magnesium3 days
4stool softener3 days
5pharmacistnow

it got better for me

dose day = d0
0.25mg nothing much
0.50mg d1-d2 mild
1.00mg d1-d3 moderate
1.70mg d1-d2 moderate, d4 fine
2.40mg d1 rough, gone by d3

im at week 16 and eating maybe 900 calories without trying to, is that a problem

dropping back a rung for a fortnight is a completely legitimate move, still working it out

sorry youre having a rough one

is it the dose or the escalation that causes the nausea

StepWhatGive it
1water, properly, all day3 days

4stool softener3 days

water first, then fibre, then magnesium, then a softener, then a pharmacist. in that order

ok so has anyone had a side effect that got worse at a lower dose

that settles

if a side effect is new and severe rather than familiar and annoying, that is the line, not advice obviously

GV

a lot of what people call fatigue on this stuff turns out to be dehydration or undereating

my resting heart rate is up about 3 bpm, is that a known thing

is there a reason nausea is worse if i skip breakfast

dont push through

my injection site itched for three days, normal
dropping back a rung for a fortnight is a completely legitimate move

BB

what did your gallbladder symptoms actually feel like before it got diagnosed

let the alcohol dry before you inject. that alone fixes a lot of the stinging

PP

if you have stopped enjoying food entirely and are not eating, say so, we will help you build meals

please get seen

🔥1💀3😂1

rotate the site

PP

escalation is when most of the trouble happens, not the absolute dose

day two is the worst

[edited]

let the swab dry

site itching is common and rotation fixed it for most people i have seen post about it, i could be wrong

is the nausea meant to be worst around day 5 or is that just me

i lost my gallbladder in 2024 and i tell people that not to frighten them but because slowing down is free

magnesium citrate worked for me where oxide did nothing. that might just be absorption

Purity check: no report on file for lot A-2418. Nothing logged either way.

dropping back a rung for a fortnight is a completely legitimate move

CO

powering through is how people quit entirely. reducing is how people stay on it

CO

anyone had the fatigue turn out to be something boring like not drinking enough

CO

ginger did nothing for me and worked for two other people here. thats where the evidence is at

PP

severe persistent pain radiating to the back, or repeated vomiting you cannot keep water down through, is not a chat question

do you tell your prescriber about the small stuff or only the big stuff
