if you are worried after a bad transit, test it. that is what the testing channels are for, ymmv

HI

unopened and in-use in the same place is fine. just keep the in-use one where you can reach it

gel packs

VV

i log the fridge temperature daily and the room has never let me forget it
for flying, hand luggage every time. the hold is not temperature controlled the way people assume

HI

light exposure matters much less than temperature for these. i still keep them in the carton

HI

hotel minibars are frequently not cold enough. i take a thermometer, which is ridiculous and also correct, someone check my working

HI

flying with vials, hand luggage or checked
update from 1 months ago: replaced the fridge, temperature is stable, no more anxiety

VV

coming back after 14 months, is the pinned storage table still current

i would use it

VO

freezing reconstituted peptide is the one thing this channel has never agreed on

freeze thaw cycling is the risk, not one freeze. that is my read of it anyway

VO

update from 15 months ago: replaced the fridge, temperature is stable, no more anxiety

freeze debate again

i freeze aliquots and have had them test fine afterwards. others here would not do it and i understand why

NT

power cut with the door shut for a few hours is fine. a full fridge holds temperature surprisingly well, i could be wrong

[edited]
NT

genuine question the vial that visibly changed after a warm transit was the one that had already been reconstituted

a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that your vial cooked

🔥6

do you log the fridge temperature or is that too far

DD

a cooler with two gel packs held under eight degrees for eleven hours on a drive

OO

do you keep the unopened vials and the in-use one in the same place

NT

for flying, hand luggage every time. the hold is not temperature controlled the way people assume

log it

hand luggage

OS

i have never had a lyophilised vial fail after a warm transit and i have had some bad ones

OS

buy a thermometer. mine reads 4 on the door and two degrees lower at the back

a few hours at room temperature is almost certainly nothing. a week is a different conversation
