Highlights from this day
  • deamidation — i freeze aliquots and have had them test fine afterwards. others here would not do it and i understand why the practical risk in winter shipping is freezing, and in… 19:48
  • two_four_ceiling — power cut with the door shut for a few hours is fine. a full fridge holds temperature surprisingly well 20:01
  • two_four_ceiling — if you are worried after a bad transit, test it. that is what the testing channels are for 20:13
  • mg_per_ml — update on the earlier thing i log the fridge temperature daily and the room has never let me forget it 20:48
  • marrow.mod — lyophilised at room temp for 17 days in transit, worried or not 21:58

coming back to this a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that your vial cooked, for what its worth

follow up coming back after 10 months, is the pinned storage table still current

DE

i have never had a lyophilised vial fail after a warm transit and i have had some bad ones, happy to be corrected

the vial that visibly changed after a warm transit was the one that had already been reconstituted

update on the earlier thing i log the fridge temperature daily and the room has never let me forget it

buy a thermometer. mine reads 3.1 on the door and two degrees lower at the back, someone check my working

freeze thaw cycling is the risk, not one freeze. that is my read of it anyway

MM

the door swings four or five degrees every time somebody opens it. the back barely moves

MM

lyophilised at room temp for 17 days in transit, worried or not
