door shelf or back of the fridge

CC

buy a thermometer. mine reads 6.2 on the door and two degrees lower at the back

RR

the practical risk in winter shipping is freezing, and in summer it is heat. plan for the season you are in

CC

lyophilised powder is genuinely robust. a warm transit is far less likely to matter than people fear

FM

freezing reconstituted peptide is the one thing this channel has never agreed on

i left it out overnight by accident, bin it or use it

update on the earlier thing a few hours at room temperature is almost certainly nothing. a week is a different conversation

unopened and in-use in the same place is fine. just keep the in-use one where you can reach it

CC

nobody here can tell you a vial is safe. we can tell you what has and has not survived for us

how cold is too cold, can it actually freeze in a normal fridge

CC

genuine question i log the fridge temperature daily and the room has never let me forget it
the door swings four or five degrees every time somebody opens it. the back barely moves

TT

does anyone freeze reconstituted vials or is that madness

TT

hotel minibars are frequently not cold enough. i take a thermometer, which is ridiculous and also correct

FM

buy a thermometer

slightly off topic but lyophilised at room temp for 18 days in transit, worried or not

power cut with the door shut for a few hours is fine. a full fridge holds temperature surprisingly well

FM

freeze thaw cycling is the risk, not one freeze. that is my read of it anyway
