LM

my sheet has 2 lots from SGN with a spread under a point, which is tight

VO

one bad test does not condemn a supplier. one good test does not clear one. both halves get ignored equally

VO

genuine question how much does sample handling on my end affect the number

LM

i had a result i am fairly sure was a handling error on my side and i logged it as such

VO

sample handling on your end absolutely affects it. draw cleanly, ship fast, do not let it sit warm

⚠️3🧊1
TO

quantity testing is usually a separate line item and it is the one worth paying for

❤️8😂6
LM

does a bad result on one lot condemn the whole supplier

coming back to this is anyone tracking results over time in a way they would share

TO

quick one a single sample tells you about a single vial. that is genuinely all it tells you

lot bought purity assay/label
A-2418 2025-03 99.1% 9.6 / 10mg
A-2601 2025-08 98.7% 9.8 / 10mg
B-0114 2026-01 99.3% 9.4 / 10mg
B-0329 2026-04 98.9% 9.9 / 10mg

coming back after 18 months with a follow up result, where do i put it

🧊1📈1👀4

thats not great

anyone had a result they think was a lab error rather than a bad vial

BS

i test roughly every tenth vial. it is a sampling strategy, not paranoia

BS

how do you post a result so it is actually useful to somebody in a year

lot bought purity assay/label
A-2418 2025-03 99.1% 9.6 / 10mg
A-2601 2025-08 98.7% 9.8 / 10mg
B-0114 2026-01 99.3% 9.4 / 10mg
B-0329 2026-04 98.9% 9.9 / 10mg

coming back to this if you are testing to settle an argument you will not settle it with n of 1

TE

i have never regretted spending the money on a test. i have regretted not testing twice

TE

my vial assayed under label but the purity was fine, which matters more

VO

a supplier disputing a result is rare here and it has never gone well for the supplier

⚠️1
VO

99.2 against a certificate of 99.4 is fine. the same supplier landing low four times in a row is a question

VB

Inter-lab diff for lot SG-1177: 98.1% vs 99.4%. Within expected range.

OW

my read after three years of this: purity is mostly fine across the market and fill consistency is where suppliers differ

VB

Digest for the week of 2024-06-25 has been published.

📉2🧪3
VI

is a purity-only test worth the money if underfill is the common failure
log the boring results too. a channel that only records failures produces a false picture

🔥4📈1

a point or two between the certificate and an independent result is inside what two labs disagree by

🧊110🙏6
LM

is quantity testing available as a separate thing or bundled

LM

if the vial has been through a bad transit you are testing the transit as much as the supplier

VB

Testing queue: 9 submissions open, 81 awaiting dispatch.

👀6🔥12

is it worth testing if the vial has already been through a warm transit

VB

Purity check: no report on file for lot H-2814. Nothing logged either way.
