Highlights from this day
  • gip_glp_gil — slightly off topic but if youre coming off semaglutide the honest answer is start low and find out, theres no table, thats just me 20:32
  • gip_glp_gil — is SURMOUNT-OSA the sleep apnoea one 20:52
  • glucagon_arm — the sweet spot argument is really about effect per side effect, not a magic number 20:54
  • glucagon_arm — slightly off topic but at 15 my appetite is gone entirely, did anyone go down rather than up 21:38
  • swab_dry_first — anyone tracked whether the GI difference held at the top doses 22:52
GA

the trials titrated every four weeks to a target, most people here stop at whatever works

MM

did going from 10 semaglutide to 5 of this feel like a step down for anyone

GA

12 did nothing extra over 10 for me and that still holds a year later

LM

SURMOUNT-1 versus SURPASS-2, which one was the weight trial

GG

slightly off topic but if youre coming off semaglutide the honest answer is start low and find out, theres no table, thats just me

GA

SURMOUNT-OSA was the sleep apnoea trial and it is not a weight headline however its quoted

GA

the sweet spot argument is really about effect per side effect, not a magic number

🔥6📉7😂13

titrate slow

start low anyway

MM

restarted at 2.5 after 19 months off and the first two doses reminded me why titration exists, from memory

GA

slightly off topic but at 15 my appetite is gone entirely, did anyone go down rather than up

SURMOUNT is weight

BR

SURMOUNT was the weight programme and SURPASS was diabetes, thats the split people mix up

licensed top is 15 weekly, past that is not a licensed dose and nobody here can tell you what it does

SD

anyone tracked whether the GI difference held at the top doses

👍9🙏9📉1

does the GIP arm actually explain the easier nausea or is that hand waving
